The position at a glance
ITO Credit Transaction Management – Closing (“CTM Closing”) is a support team that services the CIB Americas NAR Corporate Platform by blending a strong business focus with industry and operational expertise, efficiency, and control. CTM Closing manages credit financing transactions with the objective of leveraging standardized and improved processes and tools to streamline tasks for improved data quality and governance.
CTM Closing is primarily responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data capture, processing, and administration of new and amended financing transactions, as well as ensuring compliance, regulatory, and operational controls are in place and adhered to, with an effort to mitigate potential risk to both our clients and BNPP.
Team Member Responsibilities
- Liaise with front officers for timely receipt of new and amended documentation (Credit Approval, Financing Agreements, etc…).
- Communicate and coordinate with various internal stakeholders, agent banks, lenders, and clients, as needed.
- Extract pertinent facility and guarantee/collateral data from the financing documentation (i.e., Credit and other Agreements/Contracts) as well as internal credit approval for input into the bank’s operating systems/spreadsheets for continued end-to-end deal monitoring.
- Ensure the terms of the financing are in accordance with conditions stipulated by internal credit committee(s).
- Extract names and addresses from financing documents, i.e. Key Stakeholders & Other Parties, and input into the Bank’s compliance tracking system used to perform screenings, per sanction and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform timely pre-close controls.
- Monitor and action upcoming event dates, as well as provide follow-up on past due items.
- Resolve data inconsistencies.
- Escalate potential problems or seek clarification as appropriate.
- Creation of wire transfer payments associated with the closings, per documentation.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks/projects as directed by management.
Staff supervision:
Not required for this position.
Work conditions:
This position offers standard working conditions in a hybrid mode (in-office and work from home) with a normal work schedule from Monday to Friday. Candidates must be available to work on certain Canada holidays and United States business days.

Education:
BS – Economics, Finance or other related field of study.

Languages:
Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Professional working proficiency in French and English languages are required.
Technical skills:
Good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word). Comfortable working with multiple in-house operating systems.
Soft skills:
Organized, detail-oriented, clear and concise verbal and written communications, teamwork and collaboration, adaptability and flexibility.
