Role Description and Purpose
The Fixed Income Trader will be based in the New York office and will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of Fixed Income orders as identified by Portfolio Management. This role is part of the Global Trading Function, which spans multiple regions including Asia, Europe and the U.S., and plays a pivotal role in multi-asset trading.
- Execute Fixed Income orders including Credit IG and HY, Rates, Emerging Markets, Money Markets.
- Trade OTC Derivatives, Listed Derivatives, and FX products.
- Build partnerships with Investment teams to improve performance.
- Manage broker and counterparty relationships.
- Use trading platforms and digital tools to optimize workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage strong trading expertise on Fixed Income products.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Management and share market intelligence.
- Maintain transparent relationships with brokers and counterparties.
- Utilize platforms like Bloomberg, BidFX, FXAll, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, and Portware.
- Improve trading workflow through digitalization and automation.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ trading experience on Fixed Income cash and derivatives.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and OMS systems (Aladdin a plus).
- Advanced skills in Excel, Bloomberg API, VBA, Python, or Tableau Software.
- Strong quantitative analysis and compliance culture.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Engineering, Math, Accounting or related fields.
