About the role
Data Engineer
As part of the Business Intelligence center of expertise within Alphabet France, you will be responsible for managing data storage tools, automating data access and processing, and optimizing the use of information within the company.
Data Architecture
- Define and create the overall technical data storage architecture.
- Create and maintain BI Datamarts.
- Conduct technical studies on new tools and models and their implementation.
Data Collection, Integration & Transformation
- Create and maintain data collection processes.
- Ensure correct data integration in compliance with rules and architecture.
- Transform raw data into organized information for Data Analysts.
- Support the Data Steward in data control and cleansing.
Tool Administration
- Daily administration of data storage tools and their accessibility.
- Create and maintain official documentation on data and its storage.
- Liaise with IT teams at the parent company.
Process Automation
- Improve and automate internal data access and usage processes.
- Provide technical support for internal projects on data management and access.
Candidate Profile
You have a minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role and an engineering degree or equivalent university qualification with a specialization in computer science. You are an expert in SQL and C#, database tools and modeling (Oracle, SQL Server), and ETL. You also have good knowledge of Cloud (Azure, AWS) & Big Data tools. Knowledge of development and analysis processes and languages (R, Python, JAVA) will be a plus. You possess strong synthesis, logical, analytical, and numerical skills. You have prior experience with Cloud structural modeling and are proficient in English.
