About the Role

The Senior Learning Experience Designer at BMO plans, designs, and develops clear, engaging, and compelling learning solutions that enhance retention and performance. This role applies design expertise to create business-focused and performance-driven learning interventions that result in measurable improvements for individuals and teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design learning solutions that advance human performance.
  • Conduct design analysis and scope project objectives.
  • Create detailed design structures and storyboards.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Review programs for effectiveness and suggest enhancements.
  • Manage vendor relationships and network with industry contacts.
  • Participate in multiple internal projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide specialized consulting, technical support, and analytical insights.

Additional Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor who influences and negotiates to align with business objectives. Identify emerging trends, develop project plans for learning programs, and ensure stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of accessibility principles and adult learning theory.
  • Experience with instructional design methodologies including ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Design Thinking, and SAM.
  • Proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Vimeo, Adobe Acrobat, and Snagit.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience with web development processes and familiarity with graphic design and video editing is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $69,000.00 to $129,000.00, with total compensation including performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and additional benefits such as health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
