Job Description
About the Cloud Developer AI Role
BMO is seeking a Cloud Developer AI to develop scalable, secure, and accessible AWS-based cloud and AI-enabled business applications. In this role you will be involved in the technical design, development, enhancement, testing, debugging, and maintenance of cloud-native and LLM-powered applications, as well as supporting the design of business processes in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and productionize LLM-powered applications on AWS.
- Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and agent-based workflows.
- Integrate solutions with enterprise systems using AWS Bedrock and AWS AgentCore.
- Create and maintain applications with Python, TypeScript and multiple frameworks.
- Configure AWS-native software and AI services including Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, OpenSearch, and IAM.
- Maintain infrastructure for observability, reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
Qualifications
Foundational: Exceptional communication, agile methodology, creative thinking, IT automation, SQL/NoSQL databases, AWS security fundamentals, data privacy and compliance awareness.
Intermediate: AWS cloud computing and solution design, Python and TypeScript development, LLM application development, AWS Bedrock and AWS AgentCore, familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, vector databases, semantic search and CI/CD for AWS workloads, troubleshooting distributed systems.
Experience & Compensation
This role typically requires 2-3 years of relevant experience. The salary range for this position is from $61,600 to $113,900 with a salaried pay type, and may include performance-based incentives and additional benefits.
