This is a hybrid role. At Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline.
About the Role
Bluevine is looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Risk team. As an EDD Analyst at BlueVine, you will play an essential role in supporting all BSA compliance initiatives, refining internal strategies and contributing significantly in Bluevine’s continued success. The ideal candidate is analytical, results driven and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
What You'll Do
- Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews on high-risk customers, including individuals and legal entities.
- Prepare comprehensive EDD reports with risk assessments and recommendations.
- Report and make notes/records of any suspicious transactions or activities in an efficient and timely manner.
- Understanding of cash management products and correspondent banking.
- Perform in-depth investigations related to AML, BSA, sanctions, PEPs, and adverse media.
- Analyze complex ownership structures, including UBO identification and verification.
- Maintain and update your knowledge of anti-money laundering compliance rules, regulations, laws, and best practices.
- Identify trends through pattern analysis and external tools.
- Support periodic reviews, trigger-based reviews, and remediation projects.
- Contribute to process improvements and quality control initiatives.
What We Look For
- Minimum 5 years of experience in EDD or AML
- US Banking experience required
- Have a strong understanding of AML-related regulatory structure, process, regulations and their underlying principles.
- Demonstrated capacity for gathering and scrutinizing data to identify issues, patterns and business solutions.
- Preferred experience working in fintech or digital banking services.
- Proficient in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
- Be highly motivated and be able work individually and as part of a team.
- Very strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- The ability to self-motivate and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment.
- Have excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with transaction-based KYC reviews is an advantage.
- CAMS, CFE, or other AML-related certification (preferred but not mandatory).
