About BluePearl Pet Hospital
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine Department. Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm
Pay: The hourly pay ranges from $22.10 to $44.25, dependent on experience and advancement through our CareerTrax leveling system. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with their experience. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends, based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:
- Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential
As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician, you will:
- Set up constant rate infusions (CRI) and accurately calculate all medical math, including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia for various procedures.
- Prepare for and assist with ultrasound and radiology procedures.
- Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures, including GI, nasal, urinary, and airway endoscopies.
- Ensure all equipment is thoroughly cleaned and maintained after procedures.
- Discharge Internal Medicine patients, providing essential client education on topics like insulin injection, subcutaneous fluid administration, and feeding tube demonstrations.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned to support the department.
