Software Quality Assurance at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is actively seeking an SQA Analyst II. This role offers an exciting opportunity to significantly contribute to the quality, stability, and reliability of Salesforce solutions delivered across the organization.
As an SQA Analyst II, you will be responsible for validating end-to-end functionality, integrations, data flows, and user experiences within Salesforce, utilizing both manual and automated testing approaches. Your contributions will involve designing and executing comprehensive test plans, building reusable automated test suites, and proactively identifying defects early in the development cycle. This proactive approach helps drive faster, safer, and more predictable releases. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including writing SQL queries for test data preparation and validating application functionality across web, mobile interfaces, and back-end workflows leveraging API validation. This position directly contributes to improving product quality, reducing production issues, and increasing team efficiency. Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience performing QA functional and automation testing on Salesforce applications.
- Hands-on experience with script development and maintenance of regression suites using tools like Selenium WebDriver (Java).
- Experience developing test frameworks using Page Object Model (POM) or Hybrid frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with API automation using Rest Assured.
- Hands-on experience with Test Management tools such as Azure DevOps or other equivalents.
- Hands-on experience with SQL queries for test data preparation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in testing strategy document preparation, developing test plans, utilizing relevant toolsets, and managing the defect lifecycle.
- Align with and apply BCBST QA best practices to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Create and execute test scripts for functional, automation, and/or performance testing, deriving testing requirements from functional/business requirements.
- Review technical design documents and develop End-to-End integration test scenarios to verify/validate impacted components, interfaces, and systems.
- Identify and create test data, build, and execute services/API validation scripts to ensure the quality of applications delivered by utilizing relevant toolsets.
- Document and communicate test status and results at the individual level, assisting in resolving issues identified by team members.
Job Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering or relevant work experience in the software industry, or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 2 years of professional work experience in the software industry.
Experience
- 1 year of experience in API or web services testing.
- 2 years of experience in writing SQL queries and testing reports.
- 2 years of experience in testing web, mobile, interfaces, and back-end processing applications.
- 1 year of experience in test automation or performance, including troubleshooting issues.
- 1 year of working experience with Agile delivery teams.
