Platform Engineer
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is seeking a skilled Platform Engineer for a fully remote position. This role is crucial for ensuring the performance, security, and durability of our platforms, as well as maintaining the underlying infrastructure and services. The role involves an on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain infrastructure and services supporting platforms, including monitoring and server management.
- Enhance build and release management systems.
- Develop internal APIs and tools for backend services.
- Perform platform customization and configuration changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience (4 years of professional experience).
- 3 years of experience in an Information Technology role.
- Expertise in Windows and Linux systems administration.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform.
- Proficiency in YAML and PowerShell scripting.
- Expertise in Nutanix technology (AHV, Cluster Deployment, Leap).
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure is a plus.
- Proficiency in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Site Recovery Manager (SRM) is preferred.
- Applied knowledge of infrastructure technologies, platform technologies, and monitoring tools.

- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and foster diverse perspectives.
