HR Technology Consultant at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee
As an HR Technology Consultant, you will be at the center of transforming how our teams experience HR systems. This role involves jumping in to solve issues, driving smart enhancements, and championing improvements from testing and documentation through training and change adoption. We are looking for someone who loves digging into challenges, partnering with HR and business stakeholders, and turning complex needs into clear, scalable solutions. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate with confidence, and know how to keep multiple priorities moving, you will feel right at home. Strong HRIS maintenance, optimization, and project management experience are key, and hands-on Workday experience is a big plus. Most importantly, we want someone who brings fresh ideas, thinks creatively, and is not afraid to leverage AI tools to explore possibilities, validate approaches, and elevate the way work gets done.
This role demands HR Technology Depth with proven hands-on HRIS support, upgrades, integrations, or optimization. You should provide Problem-Solving Evidence through examples of diagnosing issues and delivering solutions, possess a Consulting Mindset for stakeholder partnership, requirements translation, and influence, demonstrate Ownership & Execution with end-to-end responsibility, and exhibit Future-Readiness with curiosity, a learning mindset, and comfort with AI or change.

Job Responsibilities
- Serves as a point-of-contact for technical HR System issues from HR Service Unit and HR Business Users, troubleshoots system issues and researches solutions to improve system efficiencies.
- Assists with testing and implementing of HR System upgrades or patches, resolves system issues, and performs scheduled activities and mass data loads.
- Collaborates with Business Users to capture and document requirements for HR System enhancements.
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product development, delivery and support.
Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment.
Experience
- 4 years - Experience with HRIS system optimization required.
- 2 Years - Project Management experience with demonstrated skills and successes.
Skills/Certifications
- Ability to design business processes and align systems to support customer needs.
- Workday Experience Preferred. Emphasis On Employee Experience And Optimization.
