About the Clinical Consultant Role

The Enterprise Provider Quality Team at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is seeking a driven and collaborative Clinical Consultant. This role is integral in elevating provider performance across all lines of business by leading quality improvement projects and transforming data into actionable insights.

Highlights

  • Design and implement full lifecycle quality improvement projects.
  • Collaborate extensively with internal and external partners.
  • Gain exposure across all business lines at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.
  • Translate complex data into operational and clinical insights.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess and restructure clinically focused workgroups supporting HEDIS and health outcomes.
  • Manage clinical quality improvement studies and projects.
  • Develop and implement new clinical projects for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct evidence-based research and support projects with presentations.
  • Commit to a 24-month period before applying for internal positions.

Our Ideal Candidates Bring

  • Project management experience.
  • Strong data analysis abilities.
  • Confidence in public speaking and presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Expertise in quality improvement principles, with proficiency in HEDIS and CAHPS.
  • A minimum of 3 years in quality improvement or CMS Stars experience.
  • Experience leveraging approved AI tools to drive efficiencies.
  • Educational background: RN license with a BSN or a Bachelor’s in a healthcare-related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.
