This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

As a Finance Analyst, you will serve as a strategic financial partner to program leadership and cross-functional teams. You'll combine advanced analytics, AI-assisted insights, and business acumen to enable data-driven decision-making across Blue Origin programs and functions. Partner with stakeholders to drive financial performance, programmatic outcomes, and strategic initiatives while working flexibly across teams to identify financial opportunities and mitigate risks.
Financial Analyst Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Leverage AI tools and advanced analytics to provide proactive insights on financial risks and opportunities, translate complex data into actionable business recommendations, and drive solutions.
- Utilize AI-assisted financial modeling and forecasting tools to automate financial reporting, variance analysis, and anomaly detection, while maintaining rigor and understanding of AI limitations in financial decision-making.
- Manage portfolio of capital projects and partner strategically with Program Management, Engineering, and Operations leadership to develop ROI, EAC, and funding analysis that directly informs business decisions.
- Advise on optimal strategies to meet key schedule milestones while ensuring teams are executing within financial constraints; proactively identify where financial flexibility can enable programmatic success.
- Build trusted advisor relationships by understanding business unit strategies, constraints, and priorities; communicate technical financial analysis in clear narratives for non-financial stakeholders and influence executive-level strategic decisions.
- Continuously improve financial processes, source data quality, models, and reporting by identifying key performance drivers and introducing new analytical methods, including experimentation with emerging tools and approaches.
- Work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation, initiative, curiosity, and ability to deliver results while maintaining flexibility to support cross-functional team needs.
- Lead projects from start to finish, taking ownership to drive actions and meet deadlines; work with agility and adapt strategies based on evolving business needs.
- Build data models that integrate information across different sources, provide accurate analysis, and enable quick decision-making across distributed Blue Origin teams.
- Lead meetings and prepare executive-level presentations to communicate insights and recommendations effectively; translate complex financial data into strategic narratives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related analytical field.
- 2+ years demonstrating performance in roles that include business planning, analyzing performance, reporting insights to senior leadership levels, and serving as a financial business partner (not just a reporter of metrics).
- Proficiency with AI-powered financial analysis tools and GenAI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to enhance financial analysis, forecasting, and decision-making; familiarity with prompt engineering for financial applications.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results, not just report on them; track record of translating financial insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong foundation of technical skills in working with large data sets; demonstrated ability to combine traditional financial analysis with emerging analytical approaches.
- Ability to earn trust and maintain positive, professional relationships with key business partners and the broader finance team; proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience with data mining across complex data sets for the purposes of data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a self-motivator; comfort with ambiguity and ability to pivot strategies based on business needs.
- Expertise in building complex data models.
- Strong skills in running meetings and preparing executive-level presentations.
- Adaptability to evolving financial processes and willingness to experiment with new analytical approaches and tools.

- Experience with SQL, Python, advanced GenAI applications, and Tableau.

Compensation Range For
WA applicants is $85,049.00 - $119,067.90

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
