About the Remote Security Analyst Internship at Blue Mountain
Blue Mountain is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Remote Security Analyst Intern. This entry-level internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in various aspects of cybersecurity, including threat hunting, policy review, infrastructure security, and more. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals across different teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of our security operations and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Shadow our Enterprise Technology team to understand user and application provisioning processes.
- Shadow our Cloud & DevOps team to learn about the infrastructure and coding of customer-facing applications.
- Collaborate with our compliance team to gain insights into internal audit functions and processes.
- Assist in reviewing all security policies to identify gaps and propose recommendations.
- Participate in internal audits and access reviews.
- Conduct vendor security reviews.
- Review customer contracts to identify deviations from standard security commitments.
- Assist in performing active threat hunting.
- Conduct phishing tests to identify vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in learning various aspects of cybersecurity, including threat detection, policy development, and auditing.
- Basic knowledge of security tools and frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and independently on assigned projects.
