The Role: Machine Learning Data Science Intern

We are seeking a motivated Machine Learning Data Science Intern to join our centralized Data Science team. This team, spanning multiple geographies, is responsible for the data science modules that power all Bloomreach products, including Search Relevance, Recommendation, User Personalization, User Segmentations, Content Intelligence, and Conversational Commerce. In this role, you will contribute to the development of various AI/ML features, collaborating closely with experienced mentors. You will also have the unique opportunity to choose a project that aligns with your skills and interests. This internship is part-time during the academic year, offering flexibility to balance work with your studies. We currently offer remote work flexibility within the CEE region, with office options available in Brno, Prague, or Bratislava. The salary for this position starts at 8€/hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with your mentor to define project goals and timelines.
• Research, develop, code, and test AI/ML components.
• Collaborate with team members in design sessions and code reviews.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas.
• Document and maintain project plans, technical designs, and other relevant materials.

Required Experience & Qualities

• Current MS/PhD student in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field (exceptional undergraduates will also be considered).
• Excellent programming skills (Python is preferred).
• Good understanding of Machine Learning and Statistics concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a remote team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A passion for technology and continuous learning.
