About The Team

The Metadata Strategy team in Bloomberg’s CTO Office defines and delivers the long-term strategy for semantic data and metadata. The Bloomberg Knowledge Graph is a foundational asset that models the interconnected landscape of financial data and metadata across Bloomberg’s ecosystem, powering internal and client-facing applications.

About The Role

As the Technical Product Manager - Semantic Modeling and Integration, you will lead the development and evolution of the Bloomberg Semantic Model (BSM). You will shape the strategic roadmap, oversee technical direction, and work across financial and non-financial domains to integrate semantic modeling into Bloomberg’s ecosystem. This role requires deep technical knowledge in semantic technologies and metadata systems alongside strong product ownership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and champion the long-term vision and roadmap for BSM.
  • Develop iterative strategies for semantic model development and modularization.
  • Lead integration efforts between BSM and AI/ML teams.
  • Establish best practices for ontology, taxonomy, and reference model development.
  • Collaborate with data experts, product stakeholders, and engineers.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in product management with technical focus.
  • Expertise in semantic technologies such as OWL, RDF/S, SPARQL and SHACL.
  • Robust background in engineering and data integration.
  • Experience in strategic roadmap development and agile methodologies.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
  • Experience with Bloomberg Terminal or similar enterprise products.
  • Involvement in open source communities and collaborative design platforms like MIRO and FIGMA.
