The Private Funds Team
The Private Funds team plays a crucial role in supporting Bloomberg’s extensive suite of private markets data, covering the entire lifecycle from fund launch to liquidation, and seed round to IPO. We provide fund investors, managers, and advisors with the data, solutions, and industry network necessary to elevate their fund and company analysis.
The Role: Senior Technical Account Manager, Private Funds
The Alternatives Technical Account Management team comprises individuals who are vital in delivering exceptional service and technical support to both new and existing content partners and customers. Our account managers proactively collaborate with partners, ensuring Bloomberg remains the platform of choice for the dissemination of their valuable content.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding support to content partners, fostering trust for their valuable content.
- Establish, maintain, and improve relationships with Content Partners to develop and implement technologies/workflows and facilitate efficient onboarding of new data sets.
- Prioritize and manage projects involving multiple stakeholders to maximize efficiency and return on investment.
- Work closely with a global team of account managers, technical specialists, and product managers to understand client data needs, identify key market trends, and develop account strategies.
- Proactively manage campaigns to maintain engagement with content partners and ensure the quality and reliability of contributed content, supporting colleagues to uphold high team standards.
- Become a subject matter expert in Alternative Investments, leveraging business intelligence to spot trends, identify data acquisition gaps, and improve data content.
- Write detailed, accurate, and complete specifications/requirements.
- Contribute to training colleagues.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or degree-equivalent qualifications.
- 5+ years of work experience in the financial services industry, including exchanges, market data providers, or financial institutions.
- Demonstrated experience in Alternative Investments.
- Proven understanding of capital markets and the investment lifecycle for private assets.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple client queries and projects simultaneously.
- Good interpersonal skills and a desire to work directly with customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Master's degree or certification such as a CFA charter holder or CAIA.
- Experience using business intelligence to identify gaps, trends, or opportunities for product enhancements.
- Knowledge in information technology and statistical analysis or computer programming (e.g., Excel, SQL, and/or Python).
