About the 2026 US Summer Internships - Game Engineering
At Blizzard Entertainment, we are dedicated to creating epic entertainment experiences. Join our dynamic teams for a 12-week in-person internship during summer 2026, where your work will impact game development directly.
Internship Opportunities
Choose from multiple areas within game engineering:
- Animation Engineering: Collaborate with world class animators for Call of Duty. Requires strong proficiency in C++ and 3D math.
- Build Engineering: Enhance our build systems using C#, MSBuild, and automation tools. C++, Python, and web skills are a plus.
- Gameplay Engineering: Develop gameplay features using C++ and 3D graphics mathematics.
- Online Technology Engineering: Work on multiplayer networking and distributed systems with C++.
- Pipeline Engineering: Design technical systems for game development, with emphasis on C++ and additional languages like Rust and Python.
- Tools Engineering: Build user interfaces and tools with C++ or C#, WPF, and source control systems.
- UI Engineering: Develop UI frameworks and interactive elements using C++ and UI fundamentals.
Player Profile
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program, graduating between December 2026 and July 2027, and be available for an in-person 12-week internship in the US. Applicants should demonstrate learning agility, clear problem-solving, teamwork, effective communication, and a passion for game development. Resume and code samples are required.
