About the Role: Patent Agent/Patent Attorney Chemistry at Blank Rome LLP
Blank Rome LLP is seeking a dedicated Patent Agent or Patent Attorney with at least two years of experience to join our patent prosecution practice. This non-partner track position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to a leading law firm.
Successful candidates will possess a Master's Degree or Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry, organic chemistry, applied chemistry, polymer science, polymer engineering, biochemistry, or a related field. Candidates can be based out of our Chicago, New York, Houston, Philadelphia, South Florida, or Washington, D.C. offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and prosecute patent applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
- Manage and prosecute international patent applications.
- Provide crucial support for due diligence activities related to intellectual property.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
- Patent Bar eligible, and if applicable, licensed to practice law in your respective state.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing skills, and robust analytical capabilities.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced client-driven environment.
Compensation & Benefits
The target annual pay range for this Patent Agent/Patent Attorney Chemistry role in Chicago, New York City, and Washington, D.C. is $150,000 - $200,000, plus performance-based bonuses. Compensation for positions outside these cities will be adjusted to local market rates.
