About the Role: VP Strategic Sourcing - Legal Procurement
This role leads the sourcing strategy and procurement initiatives within the legal category. You will optimize legal spend, manage a supplier base, and enhance vendor relationships while driving value across the legal services portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement sourcing strategies using market and partner analysis.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure favorable vendor terms and compliance.
- Spend Analysis: Analyze legal spending to identify cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Build relationships and ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor KPIs for sourcing effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with legal, compliance, finance, IT, and operations teams.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging legal technologies.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to legal sourcing.
Qualifications
Over 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and vendor management with a focus on the legal category. Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills are required along with a Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred). Experience in large legal firms and deep industry knowledge is essential.
Additional assignments may be required as determined by Blackstone.
