Job Description: Quantitative Strategy Analyst

The Quantitative Strategy Team is dedicated to investing in systematic trading strategies across all asset classes, including those applied to digital assets. The investment process uniquely blends the analytical rigor of systematically investing in public markets with the strategic foresight typically found in private equity. Core responsibilities for the Quantitative Strategy Analyst include:

  • Applying strategic thinking to quantitative methods for generating innovative investment ideas and developing advanced quantitative tools to enhance BXMA's overall investment process.
  • Creating bespoke quantitative models designed to capitalize on market inefficiencies across a variety of asset classes.
  • Formulating recommendations on different investment styles, taking into account the current economic environment and future market expectations.
  • Establishing strategic partnerships with systematic hedge fund managers, with the ultimate goal of co-developing unique investment opportunities.

Qualifications

BXMA seeks highly motivated, intelligent individuals with sound judgment and a proven track record of excellence. In addition to strong analytical and time management capabilities, the successful Quantitative Strategy Analyst candidate must possess:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • A genuine passion for both investing and business building.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical thinking abilities.
  • A framework-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Robust quantitative and coding skills, particularly in Python.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling using MS Excel and expertise in presentation construction with MS PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit, profound intellectual curiosity, and a continuous desire for learning and self-improvement.
  • A collaborative approach to the workplace, fostering strong working relationships.
  • The candidate should be self-motivated and team-oriented, thriving on challenges in a dynamic environment with often competing deadlines.

The duties and responsibilities outlined are not exhaustive; additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required and can be changed at any time by Blackstone in its sole discretion, with or without notice.

Expected annual base salary range: $110,000 - $140,000
