The Digital Strategy & Insights team at Blackstone drives commercial impact by activating owned and paid marketing channels, with a particular focus on supporting the growth of the Blackstone Private Wealth business. This includes managing the firm’s public web properties and MarTech stack, in collaboration with the Technology & Innovations (BXTI) team.
The Role of Digital Experience Lead, Web Strategy
As Blackstone enhances the sophistication of its web and MarTech ecosystem, we are seeking an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial team member to lead digital products. This involves owning business requirements gathering, website content activation, and stakeholder communications. The Digital Experience Lead, Web Strategy will play a crucial role in elevating user experience across digital properties, launching new digital innovation projects, and advancing the firm’s digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead collaboration with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for new digital products, features, and MarTech solutions.
- Support the scoping of new feature requests and provide necessary information for greenlighting new work and prioritizing the development pipeline.
- Manage workflow meetings for cross-functional digital projects, ensuring smooth execution.
- Communicate detailed business requirements to the Design Studio, Content, and Technology & Innovations (BXTI) teams, ensuring comprehensive intake and cross-functional alignment.
- Provide expert guidance to UX designers, aligning web wireframes and content architecture with business requirements and digital best practices.
- Partner with content teams across the firm to develop content strategy and presentation across websites, maintaining a high-quality user experience and timely content.
- Set up web content on internal staging environments to facilitate effective stakeholder engagement and review.
- Manage stakeholder feedback and review processes, including user acceptance testing, for all new digital products and enhancements.
- Develop and execute a robust measurement strategy to gauge the effectiveness of digital products, aligning with the Analytics team for appropriate tracking.
- Lead retrospectives for digital product and MarTech launches, distilling and disseminating learnings to guide continuous process improvements.
- Communicate progress on digital products and key learnings to senior stakeholders regularly.
Qualifications for Success
Blackstone seeks highly motivated, intelligent individuals with sound judgment who excel in collaborative environments and have demonstrated excellence. For the Digital Experience Lead, Web Strategy role, the successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in digital product management or project management roles.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build cross-functional alignment.
- Experience presenting and explaining complex digital concepts to senior executives.
- Experience working effectively with product and UX teams, including exposure to agile development processes.
- Experience collaborating with content teams on web activation and content delivery.
- Awareness of SEO/GEO and accessibility best practices to ensure optimal web performance.
- Expertise with web performance metrics; experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Tableau is a significant advantage.
- Experience with WordPress and Figma is also an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while consistently keeping projects on track.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Financial industry experience is advantageous but not strictly required.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required.
