About This Role

The Digital Enterprise Legal team at BlackRock is seeking a Transactional Technology Lawyer in Mumbai (Vice President) with 6-8 years of post-qualified experience in commercial technology contract negotiations.

Job Description

This role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex service agreements for financial technology systems, tools and services. The position supports BlackRock’s Aladdin, Aladdin Wealth and eFront client technology businesses across APAC and, when required, EMEA. Clients include banks, insurance companies, pensions, asset managers, wealth managers and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate enterprise investment systems and financial analytics services agreements.
  • Provide advice during business and product development processes.
  • Advise leadership teams on technology, regulatory, and corporate law issues.
  • Support corporate acquisitions, partnerships, and vendor relationships.
  • Work in a fast-paced global environment with senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Recognized India law degree and admission to practice in India.
  • Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience in technology contracts.
  • Experience in financial technology, cloud computing or SaaS agreements.
  • Ability to understand complex technical service offerings and business needs.
  • Strong commercial judgment, analytical, and communication skills.
