About This Role

BlackRock SMA Solutions helps clients customize portfolios for various investment exposures. The Vice President QA Engineer will develop, maintain, and execute tests for various back-end and database systems while supporting automated processes in a hybrid work environment.

Team Overview

Work alongside product/process engineers, developers, and business analysts to ensure high performance, highly available, and scalable data-driven systems. Collaborate with the QA SDET engineers to expand the test automation framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test cases for back-end systems (integration, database, ETL).
  • Partner with developers and stakeholders to create and maintain test plans.
  • Monitor and report quality metrics and testing progress.
  • Collaborate on enhancing documentation and testing processes.
  • Stay updated on QA automation trends and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of database development experience supporting application projects.
  • Strong SQL, Python scripting, and database skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Highly Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Experience in financial/investment sector.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes/tools such as Informatica, Clover.

Location & Compensation

This role is based in San Francisco, CA and Sausalito, CA. Salary range is USD 155,000 - 210,000 plus annual discretionary bonus and benefits.

Our Hybrid Work Model

Employees are required to work at least 4 days in the office per week with 1 day from home. Some groups may require additional office time.
