About the Role
At BlackRock, the Vice President, Investment Accounting plays a pivotal role in data governance and automation on the Aladdin platform. This role focuses on coordinating and enhancing data integrity, driving system transitions, and automating metrics reporting to support investment accounting operations.
The Role
In this role, you will lead transformative initiatives including:
- Coordinating data governance by resolving upstream data issues with Engineering and Data Management teams.
- Supporting system transitions and providing documentation for ABOR migration and logic validation.
- Enhancing control models through quality assurance and identifying process gaps.
- Automating metrics reporting using tools such as Snowflake.
- Collaborating with Investment Accounting, Product, and Data teams to align priorities.
- Communicating key data initiatives at leadership forums and cross-functional meetings.
Experience Required
Applicants should have minimum 10 years of experience in investment accounting, data operations, or financial systems with a proven track record in resolving complex operational challenges and in-depth knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in automation tools and data visualization platforms like Snowflake and Tableau.
- Understanding of trade lifecycles and diverse investment types.
- Proven ability to guide cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
