About This Role

The Global Accounting and Product Services (GAAPS) division supports BlackRock Funds’ portfolio management teams and clients. The Vice President, Global Financial Reporting is central to BlackRock’s operations, coordinating financial and regulatory reporting accuracy and timeliness, ensuring compliance, and driving execution improvements.

Job Purpose & Background

This role provides oversight and technical review of financial documents, partners with fund administrators, auditors, directors, and internal teams, and manages technical and operational challenges across approximately 4000 funds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of financial statement and regulatory reports aligning with IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Leading critical analysis of financial data and regulatory submissions.
  • Engaging stakeholders such as auditors, fund administrators, and regulators.
  • Resolving complex accounting issues and providing expert guidance.
  • Ensuring process governance, control testing, and audit readiness.
  • Mentoring a high-performing reporting team.
  • Driving strategic initiatives for reporting efficiency and automation.

Skills and Qualifications

The candidate should be a qualified accountant (CPA, CIMA, or ACCA) with significant audit experience or 12-15+ years in financial or regulatory reporting. Key proficiencies include deep knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, regulatory frameworks, analytical thinking, and excellent stakeholder management.
