Business Unit Overview

The BlackRock Finance team encompasses various disciplines including Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Tax, Finance Controls, and Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS). The GSS team acts as trusted strategic sourcing advisors to optimize supplier initiatives, reduce costs, and drive process improvements globally.

Role Overview: Procurement & Sourcing Vice President - Technology Category

This role is responsible for the global end-to-end management of strategic sourcing within the Technology Category. The position involves advising management, developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, market analysis, cost management, risk mitigation, and mentoring junior staff.

Principal Duties

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to management on sourcing and procurement.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable contracts.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and risks.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and risk mitigation plans.
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor junior staff.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, and Business Leads.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and legal standards.

Experience & Competencies

Over 7 years of strategic sourcing experience in consulting, technology, or financial services, with expertise in IT consulting services negotiations, financial modelling, and contract law. Strong leadership, analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Office including AI tools are required.

Education & Benefits
