Team Overview
The Mission Control organization is an integral part of the Aladdin Product Group Platforms Team at BlackRock. This team is crucial for enhancing the Aladdin client experience through robust operational support and control across our core investment systems.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking an Incident and Problem Manager to join our Service Management team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technical troubleshooting and the ability to effectively direct a team through multiple simultaneous incidents. This role demands a proactive problem solver capable of identifying trends and quickly mastering new technologies and proprietary systems.
A successful Incident Management Analyst will be responsible for the end-to-end management of incidents, including leading, driving, facilitating, and chairing all investigation activities, meetings, and conference calls. This involves forming collaborative action plans with clear actions, roles, and deadlines, and ensuring their timely completion.
Qualifications
Candidates are encouraged to possess and demonstrate the following:
- Requirement to work on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
- Requirement to start work during early hours at 6:30 AM SGT.
- 2+ years’ experience in the role of Incident Manager.
- Familiarity with industry-standard Incident and Problem Management practices.
- An understanding of running services on Cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Experience in application monitoring solutions.
- Ability to leverage data-driven analytics tools.
- Understanding of operating within an ITIL framework.
- Previous experience working in the Financial Services or Technology industry.
- Scripting or basic development language skills to automate common tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, adept at communicating with all levels of the business and technical parts of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-directed, effective at prioritization, takes full ownership of responsibilities, and is a diligent teammate.
- Adaptive individual, able to multi-task and adjust in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with any of the Incident Management tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.
