About This Role
The Global Product Solutions (GPS) business, formed in 2024, drives the business strategy, innovation, and commercialization of BlackRock’s full investment product platform. This role aligns product strategies with client needs, market trends, and aims to unlock new growth opportunities. Within GPS, the Product Development and Governance team plays a critical role, collaborating across the firm to fulfill regulatory obligations and leverage data analytics. This position also supports business and pricing governance, including discussions with Fund Boards.
The team is looking for an Associate to support day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate should possess excellent quantitative abilities, a strong governance-focused mindset, and proficiency in financial modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate regulatory pricing analytics to meet EMEA jurisdictional demands.
- Engage in strategic pricing conversations by collecting and evaluating qualitative and quantitative data from various BlackRock teams.
- Build scalable data solutions and apply coding skills to streamline workflows and support pricing analytics.
- Demonstrate solid proficiency in Python, SQL, and VBA for efficient data work, analysis, automation, and maintaining Excel-based tools.
- Organize, track, and ensure the delivery of various regulatory deliverables throughout the year.
- Analyze and identify pricing viability of authorized funds to assess value for investors.
- Work closely with fund boards, investment, risk, operations, and compliance teams to compile, assess, and document findings.
- Monitor ongoing value metrics and recommend changes to fund structures, fees, or service models as needed.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and regulatory expectations (AoV, ESMA costs, Consumer Duty).
- Manage the end-to-end seed and scale arrangement process, including calculation, payment coordination, and governance activities.
- Drive MIDrive automation and process enhancements within the seed calculation workflow.
- Coordinate and deliver key product governance outputs, including Product Calendars, fund metrics, and support RFP responses.
- Coordinate agenda, pack production, minutes, and action item tracking for key GPS EMEA Committees (PDC, OpCo, TRG, LRG).
- Support key governance and risk management processes to ensure a robust control environment.
You Have
- Proven ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively through strong written and oral communication skills.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in pricing analysis and financial modeling, with strong product knowledge of multi-asset funds.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data, even with limited information.
- Outstanding organizational, time management, and project management capabilities, with a track record of managing priorities efficiently under strict time constraints.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build relationships with partnering teams and senior stakeholders.
- Motivated team player, flexible, and capable of working independently across time zones.
- Familiarity with SQL, eVestment, and Morningstar is beneficial.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Prior experience in financial and investment management sectors is desirable.
- Proven track record to work in/navigate a large organization is a plus.
Our Hybrid Work Model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model fosters collaboration and apprenticeship. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. This model is designed to accelerate learning and onboarding.
