About the Role
The Director, Aladdin Data Platform Operations at BlackRock will manage client experiences and scale data operations for both BlackRock teams and clients through effective platform management, onboarding of data pipelines, operational support, and incident/problem management.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Operations & L1 Support: Lead and manage L1/L2 operations, ensuring 24x7 monitoring, alerting, first-level incident response and maintaining SOPs and runbooks.
- Pipeline & Use Case Onboarding: Oversee end-to-end onboarding of data pipelines with standardized frameworks and compliance measures.
- Client Servicing & Experience: Act as the senior operations leader for client communications, service reviews, escalation management and maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Transformation & AI-Driven Innovation: Drive AI and automation adoption to improve operational scalability and efficiency.
- Incident/Problem Management: Lead incident triage, root cause analysis and drive systemic improvements.
- Team Leadership: Build and coach L1/L2 operations teams, fostering accountability and customer focus.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in managing data platforms (Cloud, Data Lakes, Warehouses, Streaming), expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline management and orchestration, proficiency in monitoring tools, cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP), strong incident and change management skills, and excellent stakeholder and client management capabilities.
