Your Role
As a Vice President within Preqin’s Business Development team, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating our growth across the DACH region. We are looking for a commercially driven, relationship oriented professional who is excited to build momentum, open doors, and close meaningful partnerships. In this role, we trust you to make an immediate impact — generating new subscription revenue, building a strong and sustainable pipeline, and expanding existing client relationships in close partnership with our Aladdin Client Engagement colleagues. You will be at the forefront of our go to market efforts in Germany, driving demand through localized events, targeted outreach, and strategic lead generation. This is a highly visible role with real ownership, autonomy, and opportunity to shape how we grow in one of our most important markets!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the full sales lifecycle, from first conversation to close.
- Engage senior decision makers, understand client needs, and deliver thoughtful, value-driven solutions.
- Actively develop new business opportunities while uncovering strategic expansion opportunities within existing clients.
- Bring Preqin’s products and capabilities to life, confidently articulating how we help clients solve complex challenges in private markets.
- Deliver compelling proposals, run impactful product demonstrations, and act as a trusted partner throughout the buying journey.
- Work cross-functionally, share insights, and contribute to a team culture that celebrates success and learns from every experience.
What We Are Looking For
- Fluency in English and German.
- Meaningful experience in business development or account management within financial services, alternative investments, or B2B SaaS environments.
- Proven track record of delivering results — consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Comfort navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to negotiate thoughtfully, identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and create long-term value for clients.
- Commercially savvy, analytically strong, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to solve problems, take ownership of outcomes, and manage priorities with a disciplined yet flexible approach.
- Strong teammate who builds trust quickly, collaborates openly, and contributes positively to team momentum.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with technology more broadly.
