About This Role
The Americas Client Businesses (ACB) Core COO Team at BlackRock supports business development and retention efforts across the US, Canada, and Latin America. This role specifically aids the Americas Institutional Business (AIB), which focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with sophisticated institutional investors. Professionals within AIB collaborate to deliver a comprehensive range of asset management, risk management, and advisory services, aligning with clients’ investment objectives.
About The Role
The ACB Core COO team is actively seeking a motivated professional to join their Institutional RFP team as an Associate, RFP Writer in Atlanta, GA or Princeton, NJ. The successful candidate will be instrumental in crafting highly customized sales documents for institutional client opportunities, serving as a vital part of the deal team and driving BlackRock's business development efforts. This position offers a unique chance to collaborate with diverse groups across the firm, deepen knowledge of BlackRock’s extensive investment platform, and develop valuable leadership and project management skills.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Writing RFPs with highly customized and technical content to secure new business.
- Providing expert project management (e.g., managing workflows, establishing timelines, ensuring accurate responses).
- Partnering closely with client coverage and investment professionals to create compelling sales narratives.
- Collaborating and liaising with partners from Strategy Teams, Sales, Operations, Legal & Compliance, Human Resources, and other departments across the firm.
- Tracking opportunity outcomes and meticulously analyzing sales trends.
- Contributing to the continuous evolution of RFP technology, processes, and resources.
- Collaborating with other writers and service partners on crucial content management projects.
- Supporting the ongoing maintenance and auditing of core content within the RFP content management system.
Qualifications For Success:
- 3 to 5 years of experience within the asset management industry.
- Demonstrated success in a related field, such as RFP writing, editing, marketing, financial news, journalism, project management, technical writing, or legal work.
- A solid understanding of the institutional investment marketplace.
- An organized and detail-oriented team player with exceptional time-management skills, capable of prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and manage multiple objectives.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong integrity and ethical conduct.
- Effective, driven, and self-motivated; adept at building strong relationships with professionals at all levels.
- Proven ability to influence decision-making, drive initiatives, and navigate complex situations.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with RFP content management systems; experience with Diligence Vault is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree.
