About This Role
As an Associate, Portfolio Compliance Monitoring at BlackRock, you will join the Portfolio Compliance Group (PCG), a global team within Global Accounting and Product Services (GAAPS). Team Overview
The Portfolio Compliance Group (PCG) is a global team situated within Global Accounting and Product Services ('GAAPS'), a core function of BlackRock’s Business Operations & Technology Group. PCG is primarily responsible for implementing robust controls and processes to ensure comprehensive compliance with all applicable regulatory and portfolio guidelines. This mission involves expertly extracting, analyzing, coding, and continuously monitoring client and regulatory investment guidelines on the firm’s proprietary Aladdin system. The team actively collaborates with, and provides innovative services to, various departments across BlackRock, including portfolio management, client services, trading, technology, operations, and legal.
Role Responsibility
Your responsibilities as an Associate, Portfolio Compliance Monitoring are dynamic and will typically include:
- Investment guideline monitoring for both BlackRock investment funds and client mandates.
- Investigation and resolution of pre-trade and post-trade investment guideline exceptions.
- Close collaboration with portfolio management and other partners to ensure robust portfolio compliance.
- Execution of manual tests to verify compliance.
- Identification and resolution of investment guideline coding issues.
- Familiarization with BlackRock’s diverse Aladdin applications, trade flow processes, and data environment.
- Investigation and troubleshooting of potential errors as needed.
- Participation in efficiency and improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to systems or processes.

Knowledge / Experience
