Job Description

About This Role

The Global Marketing & Digital Wealth organization at BlackRock is a forward-looking, globally connected team at the center of the firm’s most high-impact priorities. We are architects of growth, working across functions and markets to unlock opportunities and accelerate outcomes for the business. In collaboration with both internal and external partners, we design the conditions for success—delivering next-generation campaigns, brand platforms, communications, training, and client experiences. Our work is powered by world-class centers of excellence spanning content strategy, research & analytics, and digital platforms & experiences.

Role And Impact

The Global Event Marketing team’s mission is to support the firm in delivering industry leading, experience-led events that drive commercial and reputational results.

We’re looking for an Event Marketer that has proven experience in event strategy, project management, content strategy, and experiential marketing to support the Family Capital business – serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and next-generation investors – through highly curated, relationship-driven event experiences.

In this role, you’ll act as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, translating commercial priorities into differentiated event strategies and experiences.

As the events landscape continues to evolve, you will also be responsible for proactively researching new trends across all event formats and identifying new activation opportunities that are relevant to the Family Capital business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance on the events pipeline for the Family Capital team – including experience design, proposing new activation concepts, opportunities for content amplification, and more.
  • Lead &/or support 4+ mid-high complexity events each year – including project management, oversight of the broader working group, content development, creative development, experiential activations, amplification strategies, project plans, budgets, and more.
  • Partner with business stakeholders in developing Event Briefs - ensuring events are directly aligned to commercial outcomes, including relationship deepening, client engagement, and pipeline generation.
  • Design and deliver a mix of high-touch, curated experiences (e.g., private roundtables, next-gen forums, thought leadership salons, and bespoke activations) tailored to the Family Capital audience.
  • Have a holistic understanding of the broader Global Events Calendar and identify opportunities for potential synergy, cross-collaboration, and content syndication within your business function.
  • Measure and optimize event impact using defined measurement framework (e.g., attendee quality, engagement, content reach, and contribution to commercial outcomes).

Core Skills

  • Commercial mindset with the ability to translate business priorities into event strategies that drive measurable outcomes (e.g., client engagement, relationship deepening, pipeline influence).
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of private markets, wealth management, or Family Capital dynamics.
  • Ability to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities within a broader events ecosystem.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance event strategy, content development, audience targeting, and post-event insights—demonstrating curiosity and adaptability in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of related experience in Event Marketing / Brand / Experiential Activations.
  • Experience in financial services or regulated environments preferred.
  • Highly proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to operate independently and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Able to strategically balance innovative “big picture” thinking with tactical execution.
  • Experience leading and influencing at all cross-functional levels of an organization.
  • Comfortable in a multi-stakeholder environment across various time zones.
  • Excellent communicator – verbally and written – with refined executive presence.
  • Willing to travel for In-Person activations, as needed (approximately 20%).
