Job Description

About This Role

BlackRock Inc. is a global leader in investment, risk, and advisory services for institutional and individual investors. Aladdin gives clients access to BlackRock’s technology, analytics, and asset management operating platform. The Aladdin Client Business helps investors address complex risk, data, and process challenges using this integrated platform.

The successful candidate will join the Aladdin Business Development team in a client‑facing role, contributing to the annual EMEA sales target. You will focus on building a robust pipeline across Aladdin and Aladdin Alternatives, executing our DACH Go‑To‑Market strategy, and ensuring that product feedback from the region informs our roadmap. A consultative and proactive approach to client partnership is essential for the Aladdin Business Development Vice President, Director.

Purpose & Scope

The Aladdin Client Business is seeking an experienced sales executive with a proven track record in complex, consultative enterprise technology sales within the investment management industry. You will engage senior stakeholders across asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, and alternative investors. Based in our Frankfurt team, you will help drive growth by expanding relationships with existing clients and developing new strategic opportunities. Success requires a collaborative mindset, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to articulate Aladdin’s strategic value to prospects and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development plan to grow Aladdin and Aladdin Alternatives in EMEA, with a focus on Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Manage complex sales cycles end-to-end, from lead generation to due diligence, negotiation, and contracting.
  • Partner closely with senior sales leadership to source opportunities, support full‑cycle sales, and unlock revenue across existing accounts.
  • Lead consultative discussions and demonstrate Aladdin’s value proposition to senior stakeholders.
  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with clients, prospects, and other external stakeholders to enable long‑term commercial success.
  • Collaborate with internal partners across the Aladdin Client Business and broader BlackRock organization to ensure excellent client experience and coordinated delivery.
  • Incorporate client needs and insights into compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Provide market feedback to inform product direction and support the continuous development of the Aladdin Client Business.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience selling enterprise investment or risk management technology to financial institutions (e.g., asset managers, insurers, pension funds, banks, SWFs).
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong relationships with senior decision-makers in the industry.
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets; knowledge of insurance and alternative assets is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills with a commercial focus.
  • Self‑starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with limited oversight.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry developments.
  • Highly organized, diligent, and energetic, with a solutions‑oriented, team-first mindset.
  • Fluency in German and English required.
