Blackmont Consulting is a student-run organization established in 2020, dedicated to implementing rigorous analysis to help firms achieve practical results with real impact. We are uncompromising in our approach to helping clients consistently make better decisions, deliver improved business performance, and create greater shareholder returns.

As a member of our consulting team, you’ll take part in cases that reshape business, government, and society. You’ll collaborate on challenging projects with team members from many backgrounds and disciplines, increasing your understanding of complex business problems from diverse perspectives and developing new skills and experience to help you at every stage of your career—at Blackmont and beyond.

Key Duties for a Business Consultant

• Working in teams of 6-8 to tackle real-world business problems over the course of the project.
• Market trends predictions and suggestions.
• Developing solutions for complex client situations to ensure meeting of goals and objectives and delivering results on time.
• Development of primary research sources among industry contacts, customers, suppliers, and competitors of the companies you are researching.
• Understanding sector, currency, political, and regulatory risks where applicable.
• Financial analysis and modeling of companies under your coverage.
• Analyzing financial performance, returns on capital, and valuation.
• Determining, developing, and delivering innovative strategies and tools to target new and current clients.
• Taking charge of identifying information sources, gathering, and interpreting data, executing analysis, and presenting findings to case team members and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in your first, second, or last year at university. Master’s and PhD students are also accepted.
• Ability to commit to this position for a minimum of three months.

Please note that this program is non-remunerated. If selected, you will need to become a Blackmont member to support the organization's maintenance. The membership fee covers website, software programs, courses, and training provided by Blackmont Consulting, as we are a non-profit organization with operational costs.

The Program

We are always looking for bright individuals who can help us provide outstanding business solutions to our clients. Previous working experience is advantageous but not essential.
