Scrum Master

Our client, a leading Software, Information and Communication Technologies company, operates internationally and supplies IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations, and research institutes. This role is for a Scrum Master to work remotely within the EU and to integrate into a team working closely with a major client’s IT team on site.

Role Overview

This B2B contract position is based in the Netherlands with a remote work arrangement. The ideal candidate has a university degree, 8+ years in IT, and at least 3 years as a dedicated Scrum Master (SM2+). Experience includes leading production teams through full sprint cycles, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and coordinating cross-team work via Scrum-of-Scrums or PI Planning events.

Requirements

  • University Degree and 8+ years of IT experience
  • Minimum of 3 years as a Scrum Master at SM2 level or above
  • Experience leading production teams through sprints
  • Expertise in agile practices and Scrum Guide principles
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Scrum certifications: PSM II (or higher) and SAFe 5/6 Agilist

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and planning sessions
  • Collaborate with Product Owner on backlog management
  • Coach the team on empiricism and incremental delivery
  • Track agile metrics and drive data‑driven improvements
  • Champion agile best practices and facilitate cross-team communication
  • Support the team in using agile tools such as Azure DevOps and Confluence
  • Participate in learning opportunities and agile communities
