Overview
The role of Data Architect - Malta involves designing and implementing large-scale Modern Data Platforms, Business Intelligence (BI), and Analytics solutions. This is a highly technical position requiring strong analytical, problem-solving, and data modeling skills. You will work with a variety of Azure services and collaborate with business experts and customers to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design Modern Data Platforms including Data Lakes and Warehouses.
- Develop data models and build data and analytics solutions.
- Enforce technical architecture standards and maintain documentation.
- Collaborate with customers to convert business needs into data functionality, and scope projects effectively.
- Provide mentorship and hands-on guidance during project execution.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in Data and Analytics technologies.
- Expertise in Azure Data services (Synapse, Databricks, Power BI, etc.).
- Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks and CI/CD practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Graduate-level education in Computer Science or equivalent professional certification.
- Proficiency in English and customer-focused approach.
