About the role

Catering Supervisor - Worlds End Junior School

Permanent

Grade B - £28,598 - £34,434 (Pro rata)

This is a permanent position working 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, TBC. This role is time only plus 6 days in the school holiday for cleaning & training. Hours of work will be between 7.00 am and 2.30 pm. The role is located at Worlds End Junior School, World's End Ln, Birmingham B32 2SA.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily staff briefings.
  • Manage all food and non-food orders using the Saffron online system.
  • Prepare and cook meals for pupils.
  • Ensure compliance with all food and health and safety regulations.
  • Manage staff rotas and work routines.
  • Submit weekly online payroll.
  • Conduct staff training.
  • Manage staff attendance.
  • Address employee breaches of Birmingham City Council's Code of Conduct.

  • Collaborate with school staff for first-class food delivery.
  • Possess sound knowledge of nutritional standards for school food.
  • Demonstrate good people skills.
  • Show passion for food and customer service.

  • Exhibit good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Hold an Intermediate Food Hygiene Qualification.
