The team you will join
You will be a key part of both the Firm’s IT team and the Corporate Services Division (CSD). You will serve as the liaison between these two teams, embedded within the CSD, to facilitate the digitisation of their varied work types. The CSD comprises seven Practice Groups (PGs): Corporate, Commercial and IP, Employment, Immigration, Charities, Banking, and Tax. Lawyers in these PGs are focused on enhancing their productivity and outputs through the intelligent and smart application of AI and tech solutions.
The work you will be doing
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Legal Technology Specialist to join our IT team and liaise with the CSD. The ideal candidate will possess a strong legal background, having previously worked as a corporate, commercial, or employment lawyer, or as a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL), and will be passionate about leveraging technology to enhance legal processes, research, content, and overall efficiency.
This role involves:
- Technology Integration: Assisting lawyers in utilising technology to streamline workflows, including document management systems, document reviews, document drafting, case management software, artificial intelligence, and process automation tools.
- Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency within legal teams using LEAN principles (defining value, mapping value streams, creating flow). Striving for excellence by regularly reviewing and refining workflows for optimal quality and efficiency.
- Training and Support: Collaborating with the Learning and Development team to provide lawyers with training, guidance, and support on advanced features of legal technology tools, ensuring they can maximise their use.
- Evangelism: Inspiring legal teams to embrace new working methods for improved client outcomes. Promoting legal technology through demos and workshops to showcase its benefits.
- Face-to-Face Interaction: Dedicating the majority of time to working directly with lawyers to understand their challenges and provide tailored process and technological solutions.
- Project and Change Management: Managing process and technology-related change within legal teams using agile methodologies for timely value delivery. Leading change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Cross-Functional Work: Collaborating with the Learning and Development and Technology teams for comprehensive support and training, while staying current on technology advances and aligning with the firm's data and technology strategy.
- Reporting and Prioritisation: Providing regular updates to the Head of Legal Process Engineering, IT Director, Head of Corporate Services Division, and Partners. Collaborating with the division’s Technology Steering Group to prioritise work based on legal team needs. Liaising with pricing experts on the value proposition derived from improved legal workflow efficiencies.
Please note that this job profile is not an exhaustive list of duties but an outline of key components. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by your line manager.
What we are looking for

The firm utilises tools for document automation, title analysis, reporting, and electronic signing, and aims to deploy more tools to enhance efficiency and client experience.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to identify process inefficiencies and propose practical solutions, including proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with lawyers, partners, and technology teams, as well as clients and developers.
