Position Overview: M&E Project Manager
Where Greatness Grows. At Bird Construction, unlocking human potential meets visionary construction. As the M&E Project Manager, you will lead the Mechanical and Electrical scope of projects from planning to execution, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Bird Safety Program and monitor safety performance.
- Plan, schedule, and control activities with the Project Team.
- Optimize M&E design drawings and collaborate with Engineering Consultants.
- Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and negotiate subcontracts.
- Supervise, develop, and evaluate team performance.
- Manage contracts, track project financials, and report performance.
- Ensure proper project commissioning with trade partners.
- Maintain positive relations with all stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Experience
This role requires: an institutional and commercial construction background, completed education in a construction-related discipline, 5-10 years’ construction experience, and in-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. A valid Secret-level security clearance is mandatory.
Desired Skills and Assets
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project; Viewpoint is an asset.
- Familiarity with district energy systems, BIM models, and collaborative contracts.
- Gold Seal, LEED, and Sustainability Training will be valued.
