Role Overview
The Programme Director & Client Engagement role is a client-focused position responsible for the successful delivery of complex transformation programmes. The role involves overseeing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring programmes meet client objectives and internal standards, and maintaining commercial performance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Delivery: Manage end-to-end delivery, define scope, and ensure benefits realisation.
- Client Relationship: Build trusted relationships with senior clients and act as a strategic advisor.
- Team Leadership: Direct multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and coordinate with third-party suppliers.
- Commercial Management: Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiations.
- Practice Development: Apply BIP’s methodologies and contribute to thought leadership.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
KPIs include delivery against time, scope, budget, quality targets, programme profitability, repeat business, team engagement, and retention.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in leading complex programmes.
- Strong senior client relations and leadership skills.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and third-party suppliers.
- Commercial acumen and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with programme management methodologies (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, PMI).
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and post-graduate qualification desirable. Professional certifications in project/programme management or change management are preferred.
