About the Role

The Director Global GI Portfolio and Pipeline at Lilly is responsible for leading the launch and execution strategies for GI branded products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams globally and locally, engage with thought leaders, and drive execution elements from Phase 3B through Phase 4 studies to ensure a successful product launch.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global medical plans and launch readiness strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing, payer access, and clinical teams to shape evidence generation.
  • Engage with thought leaders and external experts to share scientific insights.
  • Oversee phase studies (3B, 4) and ensure compliance with global standards.
  • Consult on brand strategy, patient insights, and competitive analysis.

Leadership and Collaboration

This role requires active engagement with global Medical Affairs, Regional Medical Directors, and affiliated teams. You will provide strategic input in design and execution of comprehensive evidence packages and guide cross-functional teams through complex launch planning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PharmD or PhD with board eligibility or certification.
  • Minimum 3 years Gastroenterology experience, including 1 year in the pharmaceutical industry.

Additional Skills/Preferences

Knowledge in medical affairs, drug development processes, health policy, and real-world evidence with excellent communication and negotiation skills is essential. Candidates must be fluent in English and possess strong interpersonal skills.

Work Arrangement & Location

This role is based in Indianapolis, Indiana with a hybrid/remote option available. Extensive domestic and international travel may be required.
