Job Description
At Biomemory, we are seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to join our System Integration & Validation (SIV) team. You will tackle microrobotics, automation, and mechanical challenges related to our DNA-based data storage systems. You will help shape and implement Biomemory’s roadmap by building and scaling automated modules handling synthetic DNA from purification to amplification. As the hands-on technical lead, you will maintain compliance with the global system architecture, leading module development from specification to qualification, guiding both internal and external teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own robotics-centric projects and define module specifications and architecture.
- Lead design, development, testing, and optimization of robotics modules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless system integration.
- Architect test benches and document testing and validation processes.
- Define strategies and supervise workflow automation across SIV activities.
About You
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. With 7+ years of experience in robotics and automation, you have a track record in leading robotics projects in biotech, medtech, diagnostics, lab automation, or chemical engineering. You possess hands-on experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, robotics controllers, and real-time control systems, and are adept at translating manual protocols into robust automated workflows. Clear communication and documentation skills are essential.
Work Environment
The position is onsite at our office located at 5 Impasse Reille in Paris (14th arrondissement), featuring modern offices and advanced laboratory rooms designed for interdisciplinary collaboration. In 2026, Biomemory will relocate to a new headquarters in central Paris near Notre-Dame Cathedral. The company also offers additional employee benefits beyond French regulations.
