About This Role

The Investigations and Performance Team Lead spearheads global investigations and performance management processes and is a pivotal member of the People Relations (PR) Team at Biogen. This role ensures consistency in case handling and designs system interventions to enhance organizational operations. The lead collaborates with legal advisors and senior stakeholders to drive enterprise-wide solutions that uphold company standards and values, while mentoring PR Partners and utilizing case data to report trends and proactive risk mitigation opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide subject matter expertise on company policies and employment law.
  • Investigate and resolve allegations of harassment, misconduct, and performance issues.
  • Oversee global investigations and manage performance case systems.
  • Mentor team members and ensure consistency in case handling.
  • Act as liaison between Legal, HR, and senior leadership for high-impact projects.
  • Utilize data for trend analysis and proactive recommendations.
  • Lead quarterly case reviews and design systemic PR interventions.

You are a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of employment law and global investigations. With strong judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence, you excel at deescalating issues and influencing executive levels. Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience with at least 5 years in an ER or HR leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law and global investigations.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to deescalate issues and influence at executive levels.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading global or high-impact PR projects.
  • Expertise in systemic PR interventions and process improvements.
  • Proficient in data analysis and trend spotting.

Additional Information

Base compensation range: $145,000.00-$200,000.00. Compensation is determined using an analytical approach that evaluates skills, experience, job location, and internal equity. Employees may also be eligible for short-term and long-term incentives, including cash bonuses and equity opportunities.
