About the Role
This 6-month student co-op (January - June 2026) is part of Biogen’s Decision & Quality Analytics Innovation (DQAI) Team within the Research Development & Medical Organization. The team drives data-driven insights from trusted data and enhances analytics across the portfolio.

What You’ll Do
- Leverage modern AI assistants (Azure OpenAI, Copilot, GenAI-powered BI) for data exploration.
- Analyze complex data to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities.
- Translate business questions into analytical problems with senior staff.
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover insights.
- Deliver concise reports, summaries, and presentations with actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with data engineering and governance teams ensuring data readiness.
- Develop prototypes, data visualizations, and dashboards.
- Participate in skill-building and capability-enhancement initiatives.

- Support development of custom-tailored strategic analytics solutions.
- Pioneer new approaches for engaging data display.
- Perform quality control to ensure integrity of outputs.
Who You Are
You are a tech- and AI-forward problem solver with strong analytical skills. You excel in using tools like Python and R, applying advanced analytics, and communicating complex findings effectively. You work well in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
Eligibility & Education
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., at least 18 years old, and enrolled in an accredited college or university. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or related field.
Additional Information & Benefits
- Base compensation: $29.00 per hour (subject to academic level and local minimum wage laws).
- Benefits include company paid holidays, commuter benefits, Employee Resource Groups, and 80 hours of sick time per calendar year.
