Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our dynamic Product Team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring IT products meet customer needs and align with strategic business goals. You will work closely with product leadership to identify, elicit, and decompose requirements, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and support the delivery of mission-critical software solutions.
What You Will Do
- Analyze and translate business needs into actionable product backlog items using tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Support product managers in backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and product roadmap management
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint reviews) and apply Agile Scrum best practices
- Assist in estimation, complexity assessments, and test planning using Agile methodologies
- Manage and maintain product documentation and knowledge bases using Microsoft 365 tools
- Identify and track dependencies and proactively manage risks throughout the product lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product delivery aligned with the SDLC
- Conduct requirements elicitation sessions and translate findings into Epics, Features, and User Stories
- Leverage technical data analysis to generate insights that inform product decisions
- Apply AWS cost management knowledge to support cloud budgeting and forecasting efforts
- Conduct user research and stakeholder interviews to improve product usability and value
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
What You Need to Have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in Agile software product delivery
- Strong understanding of the SDLC
- Familiarity with backend and frontend technologies
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Agile product management
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365 suite
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on-site at a secure facility in Washington, D.C.
- Interest in data science topics and methodologies
What We'd Like You to Have
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Familiarity with government risk management frameworks (e.g., RMF)
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and cloud environments (especially AWS)
- Proven success in backlog management and Agile product delivery
- Knowledge of user research methodologies and stakeholder engagement
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AgilePM, SAFe, AWS)
