Sr. DevOps Engineer

Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. Work closely with development teams and DoD/IC customers in a fast-paced AI/ML environment, transforming massive structured and unstructured data into actionable insights using our cloud-based platform.

What You Will Do

• Develop CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
• Write/modify Jenkins-based groovy scripts and update Terraform scripts.
• Create and maintain process improvement scripts including branch tag automation.
• Integrate tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, Jenkins, and more into the pipeline.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate microservices and automate container builds.
• Debug integration issues, deployment problems and monitor service functionality.

What You Need to Have

• Bachelor’s degree with 9 years, Master’s with 7 years, or PhD with 4 years of experience; additional 4 years in lieu of degree.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Experience with Linux, scripting languages (Bash, Python) and container environments (OCP/Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code mindset.
• DoD IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP).

What We'd Like You to Have

• Basic understanding of object-oriented languages such as Java.
• Experience with developing, deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting software solutions.
• Experience integrating Jenkins and Docker for automated CI/CD pipelines.
