As Director, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), you will lead and advance BIC’s established global risk management framework, ensuring it continues to evolve in line with the company’s growth and increasing complexity. This role builds on existing ERM foundations to further embed a proactive, enterprise-wide risk approach—enhancing governance, strengthening risk visibility, and integrating risk management into strategic decision-making. You will partner closely with senior leadership and business teams to drive consistency, maturity, and accountability across all aspects of risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen & Evolve the ERM Framework: Lead the ongoing evolution and maturity of BIC’s ERM framework, tools, and policies. Enhance existing methodologies to ensure consistent identification, assessment, and management of risks globally. Ensure alignment of risk practices with business strategy and organizational priorities. Continuously improve governance, processes, and standards to reflect best practices.
  • Risk Identification, Assessment & Prioritization: Oversee enterprise-wide risk identification and assessment processes across functions and geographies. Refine risk evaluation criteria, including risk appetite and tolerance levels. Translate risks into actionable insights and prioritized mitigation strategies. Benchmark and continuously improve existing risk management practices.
  • Insurance & Business Continuity: Lead and optimize insurance programs and claims management. Ensure appropriate coverage aligned with business needs and risk exposure. Strengthen and integrate business continuity planning across the organization. Support resilience planning to minimize operational disruption.
  • Monitoring, Reporting & Governance: Enhance risk monitoring processes and ensure effective controls are in place. Provide clear, actionable risk reporting to senior leadership and the Board. Strengthen the quality, cadence, and impact of risk reporting and insights. Ensure alignment between risk management activities and business performance.
  • Embed a Risk-Aware Culture: Continue to build and reinforce a strong enterprise-wide risk culture. Drive accountability for risk management across all levels of the organization. Provide education, training, and guidance to business leaders and teams. Promote proactive risk identification and mitigation as part of daily operations.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure ERM practices remain aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes and translate implications for the business. Provide guidance to leadership on risk, compliance, and governance matters. Maintain strong relationships with key regulatory and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Technology & Data Enablement: Enhance and leverage existing risk management tools and systems. Drive improvements in risk data, analytics, and reporting capabilities. Partner with IT and data teams to strengthen digital enablement of ERM processes.
  • Enterprise Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with business leaders to integrate risk management into decision-making. Coordinate risk activities across functions to ensure alignment and consistency. Support enterprise risk committees and governance forums. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on risk-related matters.
