Work Arrangement & Location
This is a hybrid role with 3 office days and 2 work-from-home days at our Minneapolis Metro headquarters.
Role: Travel Design & Purchasing Manager
The Travel Design & Purchasing Manager is the primary sales and event purchase & design support for BDDs in crafting incentive and meeting travel proposals. This role leads the process from design to contracting, ensuring competitive and creative travel programs.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead solution design sessions and recommend suppliers.
- Collaborate with client leaders on event design and budgets.
- Manage vendor RFPs, proposals, pricing, and contracts.
- Create competitive and creative travel proposals.
- Develop and lead client presentations virtually or in person.
- Respond to RFPs and RFIs efficiently.
- Travel for supplier/client inspections (15-20%).
Required Experience & Education
- Experience in travel design, buying, and hotel contracting preferred.
- Knowledge of destination/hospitality industry.
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft 365, especially PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Bachelor's Degree; CMM or CMP certification is a plus.
- Strong problem solving and storytelling skills.
- Organized, creative, detail oriented, and service minded.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range: $85,000 to $90,000 (final offer based on background, experience, and skills). Additional company benefits details are available on the benefits page.
