Job Summary

The Senior Building Automation Systems Technician is responsible for designing, programming, commissioning, and maintaining Building Automation Systems (BAS) across multiple client facilities including commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional buildings.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and support BAS service growth.
  • Develop project and service strategies to meet performance goals.
  • Program HVAC equipment, integrate software with third-party systems, and verify system performance.
  • Commission BAS systems including testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to hiring and training initiatives.
  • Perform service reporting, preparations of specifications, and evaluations of electrical and electronic equipment.

Knowledge & Skills

Requires a minimum of 7 years of experience, certification in Tridium Niagara AX – N4, in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and BAS installations, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to mentor and manage team tasks effectively.

Licenses and Professional Accreditation

Technician or diploma in a related field, Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation, networking certification, and certifications in multiple Manufacturer Programming Software Tools.

Compensation

This full-time position offers a starting salary of 90,000 per annum, subject to candidate experience and competencies.
